buzz hargrove in toronto - danforth?

National Newswatch has speculated that Buzz Hargrove may run for the Liberals in the next election against Jack Layton in Toronto - Danforth. That should be interesting. Though considered an NDP fortress, with a big organized-labour name like Buzz Hargrove in a farily left-leaning riding, he will definitely give Jack a run for his money on his own turf and thus possibly give him less time to campaign, as party leader, across the country (deja vu to John Tory in Don Valley West).

Though I think a Buzz Hargrove vs. Syd Ryan battle in Oshawa would be more interesting. It would also generate a healthy debate regarding the slumping manufacturing sector.

Syd?

Mice nuts.....

A Hargrove Campaign for the Libs defeating Jack will bring a much more needed debate to the fore.

I for one don't mind Buzz supporting the Liberals, but would never want him to be a sitting Liberal MP.

Buzz never has been a team player, does not know when to shut up, and would easily become any leader's worst nightmare.

If this is Dion's idea of a star candidate...

oh, and I thought it was about defeating the cons.
Buzz can do what he wants. Maybe he should run against Peggy Nash. I think it is time for Buzz to retire. he's embarassing. Also, he will lose.

Beating the cons is exactly what it is about.

Only a renewed and powerful Liberal Party is capable of doing that.

Layton will beat Hargrove, you say?

Ahhh, isn't that cute.

Jan, Gerard Kennedy is already running against Peggy Nash. Should be an interesting race.
