Preliminary sources say Sen. Barack Obama has chosen Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware as his running mate.
Biden is an excellent choice. He brings with him to the ticket over 30 years of experience in the U.S. Senate and balances out Obama's weakness with respect to experience and time in federal politics.
Despite being one of the more outspoken members of Congress, I believe Biden will be a major asset to the Democratic ticket. The campaign needs an attack dog (someone who can go negative other than Obama himself) and Biden is definitely their man.
GOP Prediction: with Biden as Obama's running mate, I feel McCain will now have to choose someone who is equally well known with Americans from across the country >>> Mitt Romney.
