palin's 30-hr world-leader speed dating marathon

Meeting with world leaders for a little over a day, doesn't suddenly make her qualified to be a heart-beat away from the Presidency. But you know... she can she Russia from her backyard, so Palin can AT LEAST have high-tea with Vlady.

Joe Biden is going to clean her up at the VP debate.

I have had great fun imagining this one too.

So does this mean if a party wisked me away to NYC for a day to do "meet and greets" with World leaders, then I'd be qualified for the Presidency as well.

I have ALWAYS made a good first impression (modesty aside). I don't tend to be nervous at interviews, and I connect well with people.

I've always considered it a plus. But not ONCE in my years on this earth have I had the audacity to believe it qualifies me for ANYTHING. It's a personality trait - period.

Bizarre, I tell you. I can't wait till she says something like, "Well, in speaking with President Karzai last week, I assured him our commitment to Afghanistan is steadfast and firm."

The neo-cons will proclaim a breakthrough success, and I'll think, "I came up with that line on the fly last week commenting on a blog (make me gag ; )."

What passes as competency and expertise today is truly stunning.

Politics has always been about children who never grew up and love to scwobble, it's rarely been about making life better for the masses, and it's getting worse, this just goes to prove it.
